k...

it runs fine @ 990 (110 fsb)@1.65v, next step is 1120 (124)
it loads windows.. but either explorer crashes or bluescreen or whatever..

running a bp6 mobo, 256 mb mosel pc 133 cl2, gf ddr, intel nic and SB LIVE, 80 seagate barracuda 7200.
ive tried every components except the mobo and cpu itself on friends mobos..

well.. i can only change the VC to 1.95 and it might work if i can up it a bit more.. but how?!

you can run a wire wrap on your pins to up the voltage...but you can get up to 2.00V , not 1.95...you are gonna need to up the voltage to get 124, and 133...I would suggest a burn in, now that I know better...up the voltage and run at 600 (66FSB) for a few days first, then run folding, or sandra...something to max your chip out. Then try at 124 and see if the chip will run right...

PS are you sure you're at 1.65??? Mine was 1.75 out of the box....

You can get more voltage by VID wiring.

Have a look at Newbie_Doo's Homepage (http://members.prestige.net/Newbie_doo/webpage/vcore_adjust.html)

BTW: I'm not that familiar with the BP6 but did you check the PCI divider? @ 124 FSB your PCI might be at 41.33 (1/3 PCI divider) or at 31 (1/4 PCI divider) which should be fine.

Got mine to 1395MHz with my Vapochill - wired to 1.97v the wildandyc.co.uk way (http://www.wildandyc.co.uk/pieces/vidpin/)

well, okey..
and the person who wrote first.. its stable@ 1.65 but 1.75 is default yes
and i can only up to voltage to 1.95v!
i had a friend wireing my 633 so i could use up to 2.4 v!

but look at the pic i attached. what pins should i attach ? whats cv is good to have as default? i want to adjust it as free as i can.. from 1.65 > > > > if its possible..
thx for all help! love u and this forum!!

wiring vid1, vid2, and vss together (just make a loop around them with the wire and twist it tight) will give you a vcore of 2.00V, wrapping vss and vid2 will give you 1.95V...

Remember it always depends on the original voltage of the chip and what is internally connected to Vss on the inside.

hmm
something went very wrong.. it wont post, not even without the wire now. :(( guess i fried it someway..
well.. can some1 check up some info for me? what does a bp6 support in cpu?
i got the warranty and ill try tomorrow but i want a new cpu.
maybe a p3 or a celly tulatin if my mobo supports it..
thx alot in advance!!

What exactly did you connect?

If you made a wrong wire and set it at maybe 2.3v by accident you could have overvolted the chip or something.

Got a webcam?

sorry to hear that...the only thing I can think of is...did you have the chip turned the wrong way? I have wrapped 2 or 3 chips, only to find that I had the thing oriented wrong...lucky for me I didn't plug it in...anyway, you should have been at 2.05V if you wrapped 1, 2, and Vss together...

these are from the .pdf on your celly, btw...I have mine wrapped EXACTLY the same way...

RisullarN.....I hate to say it but it may not be your chip it may be your EC10 capacitor on your BP6 thats holding you back. I was running a 566 rock stable @850 on my BP6 with powerleap adapter for a long time then I got my 1100E and couldn't even run at 1100FSB w/o probs till I realized that I had a 100uF capacitor where Abit was supposed to put a 1500uF. Apparently there aren't any probs unless your running a dual setup or a newer chip that needs more juice.

The following link will give you a little info http://bp6.gamesquad.net/Q6fix.phtml

Also browse the messageboard at BP6.com but the capacitor is between the sockets and labeled EC10...if you have a little capacitor in the EC10 then its probly a 100uF

Thanks Abit

I ended up getting an ASUS TUSL-2C and I'm just gonna run the old cele 500 on the BP6 again rather than change the cap.

thx..!
