I understand the concept of matrix raid but I have a few questions.
Does matrix raid 0 cause a smaller increase in seek times than regular raid 0 due to less head movement? Where does matrix raid's seek time stand in comparison to not having a raid vs. normal raid?
Is it possible to implement the same idea of putting a volume on the faster sections of HDD without using matrix raid? Like just using raid 0 on both sections, but partition them so one is the "faster drive"?
Are there certain mohterboards that have the sata ports attached to the pcie bus instead of the pci bus? Because I see burst speeds and transfer speeds higher than the bandwidth of the pci bus of 133 MB/s.
Thank you in advance for your help!
