I am about to order an Alpha PAL153U for my xtasy GF3 ti 200 and I was just wondering how hard it is to mount this heatsink on the gpu.

Thanks,

P.S. I am not sure if this is a video card or cooling question, sorry if it is misplaced

I was just looking around for a picture of one, I see it has mounting tabs for a socket. Youre going to have to glue it on a GPU. I dont think any GPUs have socket-like tabs. Ive never glued on a heatsink, someone else will probably tell you how they did it. Ive heard glue on the corners and ASII in the middle. Or you could use arctic silver/alumina adhesive.

Its very easy to mount an Alpha pal 153 to your gpu

Thats the only heatsink I will use :)

First you should get some Arctic Alumina from SVC(FREE shipping)

The instructions on mounting an IU cooler is described here, its an article for Radeon cooling, but the directions are universal:

Should I use a dremel to cut the corners of the heatsink?
