These seem to be what I want, correct? Can anyone recommend anything. I don't need anything fancy, but I need them to support 1TB+ drives. I don't want 2TB drives to come out and find out my little cube won't support them.

Why is the $250 one so much money? Also, what's E-SATA? I'd imagine external SATA, but what for?

Thanks!

your correct, external sata. it allows you to hook up external drives with full sata bandwith instead of slower usb or firewire.

So this is the new external HDD interface then? They were using USB2/Firewire and now they use this? Okay.

LOL!
Between answering your own question, and then expecting a press release on it, and your avatar, is just funny!

But yes, most new motherboards as of now have or will come with esata. I personally dont think its necessary, but this thread may change my mind.

Well Tom, according to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_device_bandwidths), esata has 2.4X the bandwidth of 1000bT.

However, there is nothing that you can attach to your computer that will make one better than the other. So honestly, you can just got with gigabit ethernet NAS and be done with the deal.
