I don't really like CoolerMaster..

As that's only one review and I don't base if its good only on one review.

Usually takes 4-5 reviews to convince me.

Whether that particular CoolerMaster HSF succeeds or not, it's great to see a few companies starting to look at alternative ways to improving standard air-cooling.

Think back to when Alpha started putting copper in their heatsink bases; now look how far copper has come.

I was thinking the same thing about CoolMaster. But I clicked on the link by accident and first thing that caught my eye was the bright gold copper, so I read on. Here's another, better review. I'm trying to sell CoolMaster, but it just looks cool.

If my expectation of a heatsink is look I would of went for an orb :D

Like I said there heatsink setup maybe weird since the Alpha PAL8045 is getting 3+ degrees from the Swiftech MCX when it should be getting not more than 1.5 or 1.

Dan'sData has a better explanation of this heatsink:

The reviewer at ipkonfig.com did have a Cooler Master ATC-201 Aluminum Case, Dunno if he has good taste or the Case was sent to 'improve' the review :p

There is no current heatsink testing setup used anywhere that I would consider 100% trustworthy when comparing the scores of various heatsinks. I can easily see how they could get the comparitive results they did between the Swiftech and the Alpha. The setup used on this site is about as good as I have ever seen, but there are still way to many variables to control to ever get perfectly comparitive results to within even 2-4 degrees of accuracy.
