View Full Version : 8800GT to 9800GTX+ or ???
Do you guys think this is a worthwhile upgrade? I just got the 8800GT and its decent but even overclocked it doesnt really handle games as perfect as I want at 1920x1080 resolutions. Do you think that the 9800GTX+ will be enough of an upgrade? GTX260 a better idea when the price drops? Wait for the supposed die shrink?
If you want to have a simple solution, just buy an additional 8800GT. they are about $150 now and would be really good in SLI at the 1080p res you are playing at.

Yeah I kind of wish I got a 750i ftw now, that is a killer combo. The 2x 9800GTX for $199 each is a good combo too.

You're probably better off with a 4850 or two. Better price/performance at stock speeds.
Drivers and fan control are pretty crappy for the 4850 right now tho... but that should change soon.
