I love the 520hx and the 620hx and I know they're Seasonic S12 renditions, but is the 1000HX just as good?
Reason I ask is because a friend of mine wants to invest in a PSU that'll last him many high end machines for the next couple of years.
I told him there were a few 1k'ers that caught my attention, but that the Enermax Galaxy was rather loud and priced rather high.
I know the 620hx and 520hx are extremely highly reviewed, but how's the 1000HX? From what I've seen, it's rather quiet.

Check out Jonnyguru. OCForums' own Oklahoma Wolf did the review for the 1000W Corsair.

+ 1 WS with Paul Johnson's review to reinforce it:

Both reviews imply they don't come any better.

And if I may be permitted a shameless plug, that unit seems to have made it into the classifieds area along with his good buddy Hurricane :D

OW,
Shameless plugs are permitted (I think :) ).

After OW and Paul's reviews take a look at SKYMTL (http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/6951-corsair-hx1000w-power-supply-review.html)'s. I realy like this:
However, once in a while we receive a product which is so good in every aspect that it makes even the most experienced of us go weak in the knees. For me, this is exactly what happened when I was in the process of reviewing the Corsair HX1000W. In my opinion, there is no such thing as a perfect product but this power supply is so damn close to perfection, reviewing it was an almost religious experience. Call it what you will; a breath of fresh air or maybe even a revelation, but one thing is certain: even though Corsair took longer than expected to release the HX1000W, the wait was well worth it.

Wow, I've looked at a lot of power supplies lately, and this one looks NICE! Don't need that much power, but given the name and hopefully a little future proofing I might pick one of these up.

OK, a brand new review on PCper (http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=583&type=expert&pid=1).
The new HX1000W modular power supply is one of the best 1,000W PC power supplies we have tested to date. The HX1000W PSU provides excellent voltage regulation and delivers clean outputs with very good efficiency. As if that weren’t enough, the HX1000W does it’s job quietly, is 80Plus and NVIDIA Triple SLI certified, and comes backed with a 5-year warranty and 24/7 support. Highly recommended!

Wow! does that include triple GTX280, or do you still need nuclear reactors for them? :P
Sounds like a very good 1kW, shame I went with another brand.
