Picked up my DFI X38-Based board and 2.5GHz Yorkfield and could use some help with the settings in BIOS so I can get a decent overclock out of it.

I have 4GB of Ram. Specs on RAM are:

Brand Crucial
Series Ballistix
Model BL2KIT12864AA1065
Type 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM
Capacity 4GB (4 x 1GB)
Speed DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
Cas Latency 5
Timing 5-5-5-15
Voltage 1.8 - 2.2V

I am familiar enough with nForce chipsets to understand most settings, but this Intel-based board has several options in BIOS that I haven't seen before

Right now, my BIOS is set as follows under the Genie BIOS section:

CPU Feature Screen

Thermal Control: DISABLED
PPM(EIST): DISABLED
Limit CPUID: Disabled
C1E Function: DISABLED
Execute Disable Bit DISABLED
Virtualization DISABLED
Core Multiprocessing Enabled

DRAM Timing Screen

Following settings are set to - Auto
Enhance data transmitting
Enhance addressing
T2 Dispatch
Clock Setting Fine Delay (all sub-options set to auto)

Voltage Setting Screen

CPU VID Special Add: Auto
DRAM Voltage Control 2.2v
SB Core/CPU PLL Voltage - 1.510v
NB Core - 1.265v
CPU VTT Voltage 1.100v
Vcore Droop Control - Enabled
Clockgen Voltage Control - 3.45v
GTL+ Buffers Strength - Strong
Host Slew Rate - Weak
CPU GTL 0/2 Ref Volt - 0.667X
CPU GTL 1/3 Ref Volt - 0.667X
Northbridge GTL REF - 0.67X

CPU Clock 7 (options are 6 or 7)
CPU N/2 Ratio - DISABLED
CPU Clock - 400MHz
Bootup Clock - Auto
CPU Clock Amplitude - 800mV
CPU Clock 0&1 Skew - 0ps
DRAM Speed - 400/1066
PCIE Clock - 100MHz

Clock Amplitude, Skew Control, boot up clock...these are all settings I havent seen in my nForce based builds...

I am assuming that the DRAM Speed setting xxx/xxx is the divider setting because when I changed DRAM Speed from Auto to 400/1066 the "Target DRAM Speed" now reads DDR2 1066, as it should. However, It would not boot. It posts, but Windows doesn't load.

Temps seem okay...
CPU Core - 29°
Chipset - 35°
PWM - 32°

Help please.

DRAM Timing Screen

Following settings are set to - Auto Set them manually to 5-5-5-15

Voltage Setting Screen

CPU VID Special Add: Auto Not sure what this does
DRAM Voltage Control 2.2v
SB Core/CPU PLL Voltage - 1.510v Keep this on auto
NB Core - 1.265v Keep this on auto
Clockgen Voltage Control - 3.45v Keep this on auto
GTL+ Buffers Strength - Strong Keep this on auto if possible
Host Slew Rate - Weak Keep this on auto if possible
Northbridge GTL REF - 0.67X Keep on auto

CPU Clock 7 (options are 6 or 7) This might be the "performance level" option, leave it to 7
Bootup Clock - Auto Not sure what this does, what are the options?
CPU Clock Amplitude - 800mV Can you leave this on auto?

Clock Amplitude, Skew Control, boot up clock...these are all settings I havent seen in my nForce based builds... I'd suggest leaving them on auto
There you go, sorry for the delay/no answer :-/
