I was wondering if anyone had used the Zeus 1200w modular or non modular PSU and could post their thoughts on it. I have read both driverheaven's and canucks review of the ZM1200M, the modular unit, and they seem to like it overall. However driverheaven displayed some concerns with the ripple on the 12v lines when split into 6, but stated combining them into a single vastly improved the results.

I read that the build is by impervio. I have been trying to read up on them and look at other units to get a grasp of their reputation in the PSU field but having a rather hard time as it seems they are rather new to the spotlight.

I am still heavily looking at the Corsair HX1000 as it is a awsome psu and would save me 130 bucks. However I am somewhat of a silverstone fan, since the ST56ZF and like to support the companies that have treated me well. Silverstone, gigabyte, corsair for ram etc. But I dont want to buy something that isnt worth the price associated with it, or inferior performance wise to the competition.

I am eagerly awaiting the review on jonnyguru and this will be a purchase between July and September. So its not a rush and with the cash of these psu are asking for I dont want it to be.

System will need to handle a good OC'ed 4870 CF setup, 2 HDD's in Raid 0 and 1 for storage, 2 optical drives, a 8+ 120mm-140mm fan setup, and will HAVE to be transferrable with the above to a planned Nelhalem build with 6gb of ram planned in mid 2009 and will be, of course, OC'ed.

I am rebuilding my system into what I have always wanted and while it will take time I dont want to buy any part twice from this point on.

Thanks for any information anyone has.

Next week is the plan. Don't buy the non modular one right now - you'll see why when the review goes up.

Very exciting.

I know you cover the build and usually give information relevant to why it is good or bad, so I look forward to reading about what you have to say about impervio. Also about the difference between the modular and non modular, and more information on the split 6 12v rails to 1 12v rail which seems to show noticable differences in results.
