2000XP @ 1.72GHZ is this right?

I thought the 2000XP was only 1.67 Ghz. I read on newegg.com the one they are selling is suppose to be 1.72GHZ. Which is the right speed for the CPU. I can't find anything on AMD website on the chip.

That's odd. You're right about the speed being 1.666 gHz, but I just checked on pricewatch.com and at newegg.com. Pricewatch says that newegg's selling them as 1.67gHz, but I couldn't find them among their other XP processors. Strange indeed, but it's the first day that they're out, so it's not going to be perfect.

They fixed there ad. Not long ago. It now says 1.67Ghz.
