my problem is as follows: i installed 2 Sata dvd-rw drives to replace my aging IDE one and thought all would be good but OH NO its not all good... I cant get my drives to read disks at all i have replace the sata cables with brand new ones replaced with old ones even switched out the from the hard drives i know that work to these and nothing at all. windows can see that they are there but every time i put a disk into the drives it states to me that please insert a disk. i install a disk and it does NOTHING. really ticking me off. is there a setting in my bios or something im missing? ive tried everything i can think of.
