Hey guys, i hope i came to the right place for memory problems!?!?

I have a pair of DDR3 1333 Patriot sticks in my rig and cant get it to stay stable for long while booted under vista 64 business edition. They are in slots 2 and 4 (slots 1 and 3 are reserved for DDR2/3 switch sticks).

The manufacturer claims the sticks should run at 1.5v and 9-9-9-24 and memtest runs fine forever. The only problems occur in windows where i get lockups (no BSOD, just freezes) which i can only attribute to the memory.

The problem may lie in the automatic setting of the memory timings by my mobo, as i cannot figure out the last 5 memory settings beyond 9-9-9-25. they are listed in the bios as follows: TRFC, TWR, TWTR, TRRD, TRTP.

I can't find any literature on how to set these timings manually as i cannot specify only 9-9-9-25, i have to specify all 9 values correctly.

Anyone have any clue on how to specify those mystery 5 timings?

Thanks for the help!

you may be able to set them, but only if your bios will let you. top end boards will allow it, low ends won't.

Still are you sure its the ram? ddr3 is rated from 1.5 to 1.65v, so jam 1.65 volt into them and see if they run. make sure you entire system is at stock for these tests. the fact it passed memtest means the ram is probably not at fault. also run memtest for several hours, it will loop serveral times. failing all these, reinstall windows.
