P.S: Just cause I'm sick of seeing it, please don't sign up for this, get accepted, and never send in a bug report (unless you never find one... yeah right) - I'll admit I'm signing up for the fact it's a game, but I've seen way too many friends sign up for betas for the "free game" factor. Just a polite little request as a sympathetic programmer to Blizzard. ^_^

They aren't giving beta testers free copies of the full.

I had been camped out at the web site for about 2 hours, then when I tried to enter, it crashed and I couldn't get in for a good 5 minutesmore.

?? I didn't think they were giving free copies of the full - that'd be pretty stupid. I was saying don't sign up just to play for free and not support Blizzard in fixing the bugs. Beta testing a game is half fun, half responsibility. I mean, do some strange and stupid things just to see if it screws the game up, if so - let Blizzard know. Don't just go "Hey! I can play before everyone else for FREE! Kewl!"

I was there last night and I found something that really made me smile: The ActiveX module that scanned your system. Normally I would have a problem with any module doing that, but for a beta test application, I'm really happy, I've seen too many people lie about their systems just to get into a beta.

Case in point, I'm in Westwood's Earth & Beyond Closed Stress Test. Constantly am I seeing broadcasts from people complaining about lag I never experience. The minimum requirement for E&B's Stress Test was ISDN. So I ask them what connection they are on, they say 56K. I ask them how they got into the beta, and they said they lied on the app. I can't stand when that happens.
