Major delema: watercooling or geforce4

I can't decide if I should get the new koolance fulltower (watercooling) or the geforce 4...
Right now my case is pretty loud. It's not that bad but I really want a quieter system. If I got the koolance I would cool the video card, m/b, and the cpu (the hard drives are going to be cooled by fans). The koolance case should help keep the noise and make my computer look way different than the average system (I also wanna put die in the coolant and throw a black light in from pcmods). But with the koolance case my system performance won't really change very much.
If I got the geforce 4 my system would be way faster.
What do you think I should do? (koolance or geforce 4)

Pure performance or aesthetics, bearable noise & slight performance.

Hmm...I guess I'd have to ask you how well your current video card keeps up with the games you play?

yea i'd agree, it all depends on how well your 3d prophet keeps up with the games you play. If it does fine then i would go with the water cooling.

right now it works great... In 3dmark I get 3771... My friend with a geforce2 mx and athlon 1000 only gets about 2500... I have no slowdowns in games (even in quake 3 with the textures maxed out)

The main reason I want the geforce 4 is so I can have support for the new games that are comming out. Like unreal 2 and doom 3 (do they need a better video card than a geforce ddr?)

Also does anyone have any info about the new full tower? It is supposed to be available in mid Jan. They say it will have better cooling than the mid-tower... Does this mean that it has mor fans on top?

well i know unreal2 requires at least a geforce to run. so for new games you can get away with 640x480 resoultion but other then that your video card will proly crap out on you. wha resouliotion, color depth and detail you play at?

I like to have everything maxed out and a res of 1024X768
---how long will it be before unreal2 comes out... and when will other games have graphics like unreal 2?

I've tried to get information out of them but they insisted on not letting anything out for a bit...

Possible improvements:

- higher power pump/s
- 120mm fans instead of 80mm (less noise, more cfm, less rpm)
- more space for fans in back
- better radiator
- better blocks

i think in like march could be wrong tho. I still would personly go for the h2o cooling and by the time the geforce4 is out and prices have dropped you'll have the money (i guess). Its all up to you tho

you're probably right... I think i'll get the koolance and get the geforce 4 after the prices drop. I'm sure I'll still be able to run all of the games maxed out for quite some time now.

with the h20, u'll be able to OC more, increase that FSB and get more outta it, and OC your vid card too!!

squeeze a little more juice outta them, and u could probably hit 4000!!

and your buddy deffinately needs to tweak is sys, 2500 is terrible for a 1ghz..
