View Full Version : Does PCI-express x 16 2.0 matter?
I'm looking for a micro atx mobo but i can't find one with a pci-express x 16 2.0 so would it matter if i got pci-express x 16 1.0 and popped a 4870x2 in there?
thanks

A 4850? Probably not.
A 4870x2? Definitely.
Wait for the P45/G45/G43 mATX boards to come out in the next month.
Matters most for Crossfire / SLI setups, otherwise there isn't too much crosstalk.

Brolloks and I did some benching between my 3870's and his 2900XT's with various amounts of PCI-E bandwidth. Suffice it to say that, in crossfire, it does matter.
X48 FTW :)
I agree i love my mobo
