TRIPLE SLI Geforce 280 GTX vs ONE Vapochilled Geforce 280 GTX

which you do you think is faster when playing crysis on 2560 x 1600 resolution with everything on very high and 16 AA?

Dual SLI 280GTX + Custom phase unit on the CPU will be better then Triple SLI.

No, three cards on air will smoke two cards with pretty much anything done to them that you can think of.

It depends on what CPU ur gunna use if it bottle necks it at all.

If ur using two OCed QX9770s on a skulltrail board i doubt ud be bottlenecked.

No, at high resolutions the CPU will have a harder time, vs the more power you have in the GPU's. Thus it's bottlenecked, as in the CPU is causing a pinch in the overall performance.

You have it backwards. At lower resolutions, the CPU is feeding frames to the GPUs as fast as they can be rendered and has a chance to even fall behind if the scenes are too easy for the GPUs to render. At higher resolutions, the CPU ends up able to process and send scenes to the cards faster than they can be rendered, thus transfering the bottleneck to the GPU.

In the same way that you aren't going to ask for a comparison of high end turbos and sperchargers if you only own a battered old chevy, I doubt he's going to consider strapping phase change to a gfx card if he hasn't got a fairly extreme CPU overclock already.
