I took my cpu out the other day because I belived that it was unlocked from AMD and just wanted to confirm that, which it is :D but then I noticed that around the die there was a nice big black burn mark, which looks just liek the burn that was on my friend XP 1800, (his fried) I thought mine was toast, but I put it back in and it works fine. I lowered my FSB speeds back down to 133 forn 150, and I am scared to bring it back up. What happened here, the CPU never got hotter that 53c, and that was with my shi**y HSF, now I have my Alpha Pal w/delat 68cfm and never goes above 44c at load. What should I do?

Get some Artic Silver 1 or 2 will work.
Pull the CPU back out, clean it "lightly" with a Green scrubby pad.
VERY CAREFULLY !!!!! (only on the core)
Use Alcohol to remove any thing else. Then re-try.

I did that and teh temps are fine, unless the MBM5 is off by alot. Could it have burnned it a little or something?

I have had a couple of CPU's look as if they were burnt - but it was only the discoloration of the heated thermal compound. If it is still functioning, and you have a good HSF with thermal compound, then crank that puppy up. The temp difference between 133fsb and 150fsb is not enough to make a difference. If it is running solid at 133, and your not smelling any burning then OC it.
