Ok, OK, I digress. Seems I pulled the (classifieds peacemaker) trigger to fast. I have been inundated by PMs about how the "face book" thing is a old joke and not an attack or flame. My apoligies to nitteo....:-/:thup:

The only way it could work if you are logged on to facebook. Most people leave themselves logged on, when you view the thread, you see your profile pic. IF you dont have facebook or are not logged on, you dont see any picture!

It gives the illusion I took your profile pic from facebook and posted it online for everyone to see. But in fact its only YOU that sees you (since you are logged in!)

No hacking involved, the link in the img is to your own temp file of your facebook profile pic since you are logged on.

Im confused here... Sorry to sound ignorant but I understand the basis of the joke of iewing your own image and hows it's done. But how did the thread get banned so quickly, then reinstated, and a mention of an old joke that I apperently missed. And to make things more confusing I dont have a facebook account and only see a picture of star trek guy! Im so confused......

2) The old joke part was passed around via PM's. I didn't PM you because you weren't PM'ing me, and you're not a mod. It is an old joke, and I do mean *old*. The humor in it was initially somewhat opaque to some viewers.

3) You should see Spock - unless you have a pic on your public profile of facebook. Initially, the Spock pic wasn't viewable, and non-facebook types just saw a red "X", and no pic at all.

Now you see perhaps the best Vulcan of them all. Clearly, you've moved up in the world! :)

The older Spock is supposedly featured in the new Trek film, it'll be interesting to see what the character has been up to since working on Romulus.

Honestly the OP didn't know it was against the rules. To me it appears off topic but I don't use Facebook so I am out of the loop.

The OP happens to be our top PPD Folder ( At the moment since Chasr isn't letting moss grow on his stone.)so we begged and bribed Krag and CW.....and thank goodness it worked.:p:clap:(JKing they are beyond reproach and have ethics far above those of mortal men.)
