Has anyone got their hands on a Celeron 1.1a yet? I'm looking forward to hear people's experiences with overclocking it. I'm hoping it will hit 140fsb because I know my devices all work properly to at least that speed on my MB.

Thanks

Good luck finding one. I've looked all over and havn't found any in stock anywhere. The computer show in NY is this sunday, I'll look there and if I still can't find one I'll have to decide between a 1.0 or a 1.2 I still don't know what I want. LOL All depends on what's at the NY show in Rochester.

MicroX-Press seems to have about 200 1.1a's in stock at this time. I don't think they ship to Canada (for me) but should be no problem for US folks willing to wait for shipping. (if they are indeed in stock)

I'm starting to get ****ed off that my area PC shops don't even list that CPU on their sites yet. They usually are pretty good at stocking new CPU's right when they come out. This might be a bad sign. I hope Intel isn't limiting production so they can sell off the "old" 1gig and 1.1gig Celerons.

Its suppose to be a "G" rated site so they filter anything unappropriate except for ass or hell.

Microe-xpress does have the Retail 1.1 I want an OEM Philippine chip. They are suppose to overclock higher at lover voltages. Suppose to I believe the majority of Retail chips are made in Malay. In the end it's your choice. And by looking at the CPU database here both chips are equal. I've just had better luck with the Philippine chips in the past.

If I can find some at the computer show I'll be holding the chip in my hand Knowing it's a Philippine or Malay chip that I’m buying. I'm not leaving it to chance online.

One more thing....Welcome to the forms :)
Were all adults here and have grown out of the swearing stage. A real professional can come up with a more flavor full way to express him self. (And it's not worth being smacked by your Girl friend / wife for having a dirty mouth :D ) So keep it clean, there are several younger members and believe it or not, Ladies that read this stuff too. So show some respect here. Opinions are always welcome, and information is plentiful. I'd hate to loose these forms because of some Select language. Once again, welcome :)

You can get the 1.1A right here for $102 and it is probably going to be cheaper than microxpress: http://www.c-source.com/csource/newsite/ttechnote.asp?part_no=260717

Actually I just checked microxpress and they just lowered it down to $106.

I saw the 1.0A at this place for $79: http://www.jazztechnology.com/P_1038.htm
I've never dealt with them so I can say how well of a company they are.

I got my 1.0A today. I'll have some preliminary results in a seperate thread in a few minutes.

I'm dying to see how your C1.0A is. That is the same place I got my infamous C1.0A and GA6OXET from. BTW, I give very high marks to CompSource! They have been great!

I hooked up with a guy on ebay and Just sent payment for a Celeron 1.1 Tualatin chip Philippines. $100 shipped

Got to decide what board to run it on. I'm thinking Abit ST-6 raid right now but the Gigabyte still looks good. I don't know. I like the four IDE connections on the ST-6. And i'm not afraid of the vid pin mod. I assume disabling the raid and on board audio fixes the bugs people have been having ?? Is this correct ??

I will be water cooling the chip and hope to hit 133FSb which would put me at 1463mhz and a PCI of 33.25 with the 1/4 divider. That's my goal. Well see how it does and I will keep constant posts of my doings and success / failures / troubles

Good luck and Forge on men !!! TO 1500 CHARGE !!!

I had no problems with CompSource as well...quite a bit more reasonable than Micorxpress when they were the only 2 places that had them ($85 vs $98)....or at least they were the only places that I knew of.

Was able to get the 1.0A up to 1.5 GHZ using 1.7V. Might go a little bit higher...stay tuned.

Same question here. I was going to give the Shuttle AE25 a shot (available locally), but apparently it has a bug in that it is resetting the VCore back to default when awakening from standby or sleep mode.

Perhaps the MSI 6337...

In case anyone's interested, Buy.com lists the 1.1a at $100.95 and the 1.0a at 83.95
