i'm looking for the best ocing ram ... i've got a Q6600 running on an air cooled set up... i want at least 4gigs of ram ... because i edit film/create special effects , i was going to get 8gigs but i heard you can' really oc at all

over at my friends house xTrEmEoVrClOcKr who said the best ram he's ever ownd was some Team Group he had that ran 420Mhz at 3-3-3-8 all day and ran like 470 at 3-3-3-11

also i think want to get to at least 3.5Ghz on my Q6600

basically looking for something taht will suffice my need to game as well as my need for an editing beast

i've got a P5K-Premium Black Pearl edition ... tlyer said it's capable of about 500fsb ... hoping to get around there maybe on a different cpu but still .. hoping for about 500

unfortunately the ics used in those team arent available anymore(micron d9gmh)and they only came in 1gb modules.so your pretty much stuck going with memory that will run what you want at stock.so i would say have a look at the gskill 2x2gb 8000/8500 if 500fsb is what your goal is.they seem to be the best bang for your buck kits without a mir.
i have heard alot of people having issues ocing with all four dimms being populated.personally tho ive never run into any issues.essentially if you have a quality mb(you do)you shouldnt need to worry about ocing with all four dimms filled.
