View Full Version : mouse freezes on my 8KHA+
At least once a day my mouse will freeze and I have to shut down then unplug it and plug it back in. When I reboot it works again for a while.
I'm using a NewScroll Wireless mouse.
win ME
VIA 4.35
Has any one else ever had this problem?
What's the cure?
The only time I've had my wireless mouse freeze is when the base unit is too close to some electrical component. Make sure that the base is far from your computer, monitor, etc....
Another thing is to check your batteries. I doubt this is the problem tho since you can recover after rebooting. What happens if you reboot without disconnecting your mouse? If you have to unplug and replug after a shutdown then something is wrong with your connection. Check either the mouse or the connector on the back of the computer.
Just off the top of my head but hope it helps.
It is setting right under the monitor so I will move it further away and see if that helps. Good idea!
If I don't unplug and replug then then it still won't work. I have thought about the connection but I'm not sure how to improve this if it is the problem.
Thanks for the response Azhari. I think the too close to the monitor thing might be something to try.
Oh yeah. That would freeze my mouse everytime. You're welcome and hope it works out.

I had the same problem until i moved my base away from monitor and speakers. It should work
Isn't that something? I have been messing around with everything from drivers to bios to system settings trying to get this mouse to stop bothering me and all this time all I had to do was move the receiver 1 foot further away from the monitor.
I didn't have any problems with it at all today and my fingers are crossed :burn:
I do appreciate your time and consideration and thank you kindly.
