With Durons and T-Birds, leave them on. Unfortunately, certain HSF's used with Athlon XP's may not square up correctly with the top of the CPU with the feet exactly as they come from AMD's factory.

what hsf do you know to work, because i am going to get a new one soon and i dont want to get one that i have to mess with the pads to get it to fit correctly

I'm a gonna replace my feet with some pads of JB weld in the near future. Ultimate feet!
