Recommendations on CD-RW drive and DVD-Rom drive?

I want a 24x10x40 CD-RW and a 16x DVD-rom

I don't want to spend as much as the yamaha costs for the burner.... was looking at TDK, Plextor, Teac... what do you guys think?

As for the DVD-rom, i have no idea what is good right now.

How do you like your Toshiba DVD?

Why do you recommend Plextor over TDK or TEAC? have you seen any reviews on them or know more about them?

I would say TDK for the burner. But thats just because I have a 16x10x40 TDK burner.

I have a plextor CDRW drive that I am happy with. However it is on the high $ end. I paid $265.00 a few years back. I hear the Lite On is getting great reviews and it can be had for $85.00

I've heard all great from them.

Don't get a top of the line. Get a 12x and burnproof technology.
