Probably got a little overlap somewhere. Clean it off and do it again :)

what's the best way to clean it off?.. I used 2000 grit on it already just where the bridges are to clean it up once.

if you just used silver lacquer you can clean that right off with some acetone... if you used something that dries... yeah 2000 grit sandpaper will work... but be carefull... im not sure the effects of sanding to far into an XP's PCB.... but you should be fine

I am wondering if the window defroster kit that i used has the correct voltage specs.. i think that maybe this is what causing my problems.. does anyone have a link to something known good to use to unlock?..
If you don't like the defogger stuff you can use the stuff in trace pens radioshack online sells them.
I used the stuff at the bottom of this page and it worked well.

Don't scratch thru the cpu outer covering then you will have even a harder time unlocking it or may not be able to get it unlocked at all.
