I sell both the GametheatreXP, the Audigy series, and TurtleBeache's Santa cruz. All are great cards actually, but with the VIA chipset, the Hercules Gametheatre or SantaCruz cards have proven to be the best in terms of stability. ANY of the sound cards mentioned are GREAT and all have their strong points. My personal favorite is the Hercules, for $100 you by far get the best bang for the buck. A great soundcard with an AWESOME breakaway box that has every input and output imaginable. Its especially awesome if you are gonna dump the cheesy computer speakers(Even the Klipsch!)available and use a real external amplifier with high quality speakers.

Ritteri... does the Gametheatre XP have any problems with the Cambridge DTT3500 speakers that you know of?
It shouldn't SilverEdge as they have very good reputation as being compliant with every speaker..
I would go with GameTheatre XP or Santa Cruz as you might just want to run from the problems with Via and Sound Blaster.
And I heard those two up there are both great cards, especially the TheatreXP because the amplifier support is fabulous and the sound quality is much difference with crazy speakers like your Cambridge's.

No probs at all, the XP is known for stability with ANY product. Go for it! You wont be dissapointed! BTW it also adds a few USB ports too which come in REAL HANDY!

another vote for the hercules card here! another stone cast at the Sound******* line of cards, i don't like them at all, compatibility issues, resource hogging, and driver issues with winxp all make for another creative Creative concoction of misfortune.
