Everytime I reformat, I back up my Outlook 2000 by saving the outlook.pst file. Once I reload everything, its easy to upload that pst file and it restores my addresses, settings, and archived messages.
I usually use windows98se, but have grown tired of it, so I went out and got a copy of Windows2000. Everything went well, but when I got to import the .pst file, I'm told I do not have permission to access that pst file.
I don't remember getting this error before, or if I did, what corrected it. My only guess is that it doesn't like moving from win98 to Win2000, perhaps becuase of the fat32 vs ntfs??
If anyone could shed some light on this, it might help me save a few emails :)
Thanks!
Mike
