Damn, I havent folded anything in years now but thought I'd test my new HD4850 and got the shock of my life. I swaer my good Ol Opteron 165 never got even remotely close to what this thing outputs.

I can just sit and watch it crunch through the numbers insanely fast. Looks like I can do in 3 hours what used to take days or am I reading this thing incorrectly?

GPU folding is very fast if you have a card that works with the GPU client.

Yea, it worked but appeared to lock up occasionally.... Have since removed it as it causes my gfx card fan to spin up changing my system from silent to something I can hear. Maybe I'll replace the cooling with an Accelero S1 at some point.

Crazy fast. You should see what happens when you put an nVidia card (http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=3193) in your slot. Ah, the always changing folding landscape. ;)

Keeps it interesting... that's for sure. :)

Nice to see you dropping by Mac!

Yeah, What are you getting with your ATI card? My 8800gt is hitting just under 5000 PPD.
