is there a massive difference between them at performance ?

or just the SATA and USB Slots ??

Thank u all for your help

DS3L=5 PHASE PWM
DS3R=6 PHASE PWM

yes that the only differences raid and PWM phases...

I have a DS3R and a I really like it, the eight USB ports on the back panel is a nice touch. Plus the DS3R is an Ultra Durable 2 model, if that really means anything...:p Some of the components (such as the chokes) look different.

Depends on you. I'm more of a LEGACY man. I'd rather have the LPT and serial ports, and I can't imagine using more than four SATA devices (two hard drives/two dvd drives, three hard drives/one dvd drive... these days at least ONE of those would be a terrabyte.)

Get the cheapest one. Intel's releasing a new chipset soon anyway.

I've been holding out with my 965-DS3 until... well... until I have some money :shrug:
