visiontek gf2ti overclock

I just wanted to see what everyone with this card could do with overclocking it.

I could only get 280 mhz on the core. She wouldnt do 285.
She got better with the memory and i got 500 mhz any higher and i get artifacts.

3dmark2001 was 4522.

This is with stock cooling. I havent modified it yet lol.

I have the Gainward Geforce2 Ti 500 running at 285/523
I upgraded the gpu fan to a socket 7 heatsink with 50mm fan and artic silver. Lapped the gpu, mounted with 4 screws from the bottom. My fsb is heavily overclocked, at a 133MHz fsb I can run the core about 300MHz. Resistor modded the card to a Quadro2, flashed to the Nvidia Geforce2 Ti reference bios. 3DMark 2001 score is 5512.

I have a gainward gf2ti, and have had pretty good luck with it.
Currently running at 315/500 (although i havent pushed the memory to 'artifact-stage' yet).
Just out of curiousity, what is your mem rated at? Interested because I want to figure out what I can expect out of mine. Ramsinks and a 1u copper heatsink coming soon, so we'll see if that lets me push it even more.

Memory is rated at 4ns with stock ramsinks, a little dissapointed in the core overclock, but since the Geforce 2 chipsets are memory bandwidth hungry, the gpu speed only helps in 3DMark, memory speed gets more fps in games.

Did'nt catch the driver but make sure your using the latest. Go to system bios, then test, test, test the fsb speed. My gf2 pro with 32 meg is real close to 5000 at 4943. :)

Funny thing is that what the guys said was true for me as well however any more speed on the video ram results in virtually no improvement. I get a little more on the GPU but a lot more through the system fsb. So I backed the video ram down a little till the scores reflected a change.
