just received my 2nd 3870x2, before anything else what do you call it when you have 2 3870x2? im not sure thats why im asking? lot of things bothering me.

1. i ran my single 3870x2 in 3dmark06 oc'd to 941/999mhz core/memory, my score is only 16100. then got my 2nd 3870x2, i only got 15850, no oc. i was expecting to get at least 17000 for having 2 cards. any explanation? jfi, my crossfire is enabled

2. anyone owns the new water block of danger den? is it crossfire certified? i have the swiftech cooling kit for my cpu. can i add the 2 more water blocks for my loop? is it compatible? i mean for the tubing size. and one water pump can hold the three blocks?

3. is choppy thing while playing cause of the high temperature of the card? cuz i always experience it even in benchmarking:bang head

ill put a picture so you can figure it out what tubing size i have, cuz im not sure for the size.:santa:

yes, i didnt connect the crossfire connector yet. just installed it and excited to take picture:santa:

so i need suggestion for my video card cooling and to increase my score.

ok 2x 3870x2 is called crossfireX as far as I know.

1. unistall the drivers and CCC, use driver cleaner..reboot...reinstall the drivers and CCC..reboot...

2. sorry don't follow water blocks for GPUs very much at all so I don't know about this Q. I'd think you'd need a really big radiator to handle the heat from all three sources...better to go with a second loop, but again I'm not an expert on water. Your tubing appears to be 1/2 inch internal diameter (ID)...

3. putting number 1 &3 together I'd say it is most likely a faulty driver install...but could be heat related too. I use riva tuner to set the speeds of my fans and AMDGPUClockTool to set the clocks on my cards.

Hope some of this helps you get where you want to go :)

tnx for the input:beer: yeah its crossfirex:santa:

1. what CCC basically do you use for 3870x2? i heard that they have a lot of version.

2. yeah., that's what im planning to do. another loop. hence, another big money:( any air cooler for crossfirex?

3. i also use rivatuner for the fan and overclocking. idle temp is 48-55 idle, 60-67 load.

about overclocking, do i have to manually oc each core or just oc the one core then all core will oc? because im using gpu-z to check the speed of my video card and the rivatuner. gpu-z shows that all cores are oc'd, but when i check it using the rivatuner hardware monitoring, not all cores are oc'd. which one is right? or how to overclock crossfireX? and one more thing, is my cpu pulling me down?

One thing right away...since you havent connected the CF connector...you are running CF by software right now...so your scores will be lower...the connector allows the cards to run CF through the hardware...

This could also be why you are getting the "choppy" effects...

I see you have a antec PSU...what wattage...850?

Cant help you on the WC block...not a WCer

i already connect the cf connector before i run my rig. its now connected.

antec 1000w PSU

so here's my plan for my wc, ill go buy the water block for my crossfirex (2 wc block) then ill stay my cpu cooler in aircool. ill just watercool my crossfirex 3807x2. cuz im not really having problem with the temp of my cpu, idle is 19-25. second option; water cool my crossfirex and cpu in just one loop, but ill use two rad, rads are 1 swiftech H2O 220 and 1 more swiftech H2O 120. question is can Swiftech MCP655 hold all the loop?

Do you have one or two crossfire bridges connected?

I've heard of guys with two connected and had stuttering got rid of it by removing one of the crossfire bridges.

Your a brave man/woman to have an acrylic case. Wire management looks good

just one bridge connector.

lol,. im a man, i know you're confused if im a woman, cuz of the colorful or pink thing on my rig.:bday: well., kinda long story to tell why i have the acrylic case. but ill make it short. that acrylic case is for my second rig., my second rig is just for fun, i put a lot of stuff in there, like blinking lights, and 120 fan that you can put custom text. and man more, so now, im building my 3rd rig. and its almost done (i hope) if you guys will help me. :bday:

btw i reinstall my CCC. i use the 8.7 version
