I want to sell my 780i and get a new motherboard because I have had nothing but trouble with it (and my previous 680i). I have three choices really: get an x48, get a p45, keep the 780i.
A few questions: How good are the x48's at overclocking the new intel processors? That's the main thing holding me back from the x48. Also how does the DFI DK-P45 and UT-x48 stack up to other motherboards such as the P5Q Pro and ASUS/Gigabyte X48 offerings? And lastly, should I keep the 780i? If I did it would be brand new as I have just RMA'ed it. As far as processors go I have a Q6600 at the moment, but might upgrade to a Q9450 in the not to far away future.
