P5q3 Sillicon Image Sil 5723 chip

I've noted that some motherboards like asus, comes with a dedicate4d chip for raid wich claims to be capable to do something similar to the intel matrix raid.... Anyone confirms it to work like that....? It would be interesting to have a hardware based matrix array together with the mobo!

Pity.... had you found a good substitute with support for ddr3 and with onboard hardware controller?
