Hi everyone... Just joined and figured I'd jump right in with a question that's been bothering me for a while.

I've got this system currently:
Q6600 @ 3.0ghz (g0 step & af7pro)
8800gts 640mb (got when they were KING.. lol)
2x1gb ddr2 800 G.Skill memory
Gigabyte P35 DS3R mobo
320gb Seagate 'cuda
Antec P180
Antec NeoHE 500w (modular)

Whenever I run 3dmark06 I get a super low score... around 2-3k or so. (at least I think that's where it was, it's been a while since I ran it. I can run again if need-be)

Any ideas why it would give such a low score? My system getting close to a year old, but even now it should be getting pretty good scores I would think.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice you can provide!

Please run it again and grab a screen shot of your CPUz and GPUz info so we can get an idea of what is going on with your rig. Your score should be in the teens in 3dMark06 if everything is running as it should be.

Post the new score and screens and we can see what we can do to help.

Ok so I ran it and got an uncommonly high score, here's the picture:

Weird thing is that during the CPU test I only got 1-2 frames... I don't understand why that would happen.

Thanks for the help!

Looks OK to me. 1-2 FPS in the CPU test(s) is normal, its just the way FM designed that test, a 5GHz quad reaches 3-5 FPS for example.

So a stock G80 GTS with a Q6600 is usually 10-11K? I knew it would be in the lower range but I was expecting 12-13k.

At any rate that score is WAY better than your OP made it sound, and is not as strange or unbelievable as the 2-3k you mentioned.

Yeah, when I ran the tests before I never got a very high score, I don't know whyso different right now with the 10k range score.

Glad to know it's normal though ^_^

Thanks for the help guys.
