9600 GT

Will the 9600 GT still be a respectable card on through next year? Will it likely play next year's games with no problem (high settings)? I'm wondering if I should upgrade my card soon....Crysis gets some pretty low frame rates sometimes...

I'd hold off till ATI's new 4870x2 comes out, and then get a 4870(non x2) or a gtx 260 super cheap ( less than 200 buck range ).

Good idea. I figured out how to pretty much get a free upgrade for now. I purchased my 9600 GT from Fry's for $199.99 (yeah, I overpaid lol). So I just looked into EVGA's Step Up program and as luck would have it, they have the 9800 GT 1GB AKIMBO for the same price ($199). I initiated a Step Up request and the grand total is less than $8 (shipping cost). Is that worth it, or should I not go through with it?
