Hey everyone. I have a 20 GB HDD in my dell right now. It has ME on it. I just got my 60 GB Maxtor HDD yesterday, but am not quite sure how to get XP on the new drive, and get data off of the old drive. I'm new to the whole HDD installation thing. I know FDISK and such, so all the terms you use I'll understand. Just need a refresher on how to do this sort of thing.
I am planning on having both HDD's in my computer at one point. I'll have XP on the 60 GB as my Master, and the 20 GB as my slave, just for excess storage. I dont want a dual boot... but need to get the data off of the old HDD onto the 60 GB before I reformat it.
Thanks

Thanks! Hey, just one more question... why a Win98 Boot Disk? Couldn't I just use the WinXP CD as a bootable?

I would say if you want an EXACT copy then use ghost. The simple copy at the dos prompt may miss the boot sector and/or certain files. eg hidden files
