Well, this can't be right. Check out my voltage settings!

-5 =2.96 <--- yeah it's in the red

3.3 = 3.31 ok here

+12 = 12.4 ok again

-12 = -10.48v <--- bad

I'm posting this as a new thread, and I'm wondering if these voltages are due to the PSU. Any response is greatly appreciated.

That does not look good at all. Pull the mobo connecter and check the lines with a multimeter to be sure of those readings. Your mobo manual should have what line is what.

Sounds like you're due for another PS too.

The power supply is a cheap codegen that came with the case. This sucks - now I have to spend more stinking money.

Check it 1st. B4 you go out and spend good $.
Call the Co. you bought the case from and tell them the PS took a dump. See if they'll replace it.

That's why it worries me to read people giving other people cavalier advice like "Oh, just wire that fan between the +12 and -5 to achieve 17V and make it run faster." That kind of "JuJu Electronics" is what keeps the PSU manufacturers "fat and happy".
