Just curious how good is the built in ATI auto tune?
i have it running right now, i upped my fan speed to %100.. (@ 63C)
so far it hit 690 on the core.. now it is doing ram.. @ 1053 so far..
will this thing stop due to some ATI limit (700 core) or will it give a decent clock?
since it says upto %117 GPU activity and hit up to %128 at one time......mostly under %100
Does this app actually stress the card i assume ?
[EDIT] Memory now at 1148

ATi OD says okay - run 3dmark06 - CRASH 2nd test, lower clocks on both core and ram and 3dmar06 runs
i know, 3dmark synthetic but to comapre my own system it is good.
yea i dont trust ati OD auto tune. plus i dont seem to be able to get much speed out of my card. could be im uping the wrong volts or not enough different ones. not sure can do 690/700 fine with stock mem but up the mem at all and it starts ripping atm. can get 1050 ok in games atm

If I use AutoTune multiple times I get multiple results. Not very accurate IMO.
Not like it's hard to test clocks in 3DMark anyway right?

I can't speak from experience from your card, but it always overstated the overclocking potential on my cards. On this forum, I was warned that the auto oc can actually fry a card, although I find that hard to believe.
The best method I've found is the old fashioned way. OC it, run benchmarks, if it passes, OC it some more.
There is some subtle differences between a memory OC fail, and a Core fail... But generally in my meager experience, if it throws an ATIdag.dll error, it's the memory, and if you see artifacting it's the core.
I can't run the memory over 1125 otherwise it artifacts in 3d06. But I pass perfectly fine with 700/1125
