using unlocked characters in super smash brothers brawl

How do I use the characters i have unlocked in SSBB? i cant find them on the multiplayer character selection screen.

What do you mean? When you unlock them they become available in both MP and SP modes.

ive unlocked multiple characters in the subspace mode that are not visible on the MP selection screen.

Hmm . . . Are you sure it's saving every time you play?

I went through the SSE missions and unlocked just about everybody through them (if not everybody), and all the characters are available to me in both SP and MP modes.

Are the characters you've unlocked available in SP Basic Brawl?
