What kind of cable do I need to connect my Soundblaster Audigy Gamer sound card to my Boston Acoustics BA790 speakers if I want a digital connection?

This would be best served under Sound and Video.

as far as I know, you only need a normal connection wire that has two male 1/8" headphone jack on each end. But your reciever has to be setup to recieve the digital signal, or you won't get anything from it.

Is it different than the regular speaker cables that come with computer speaker systems?

No, and it even looks like the digital input on my sub is different from the digital output on the sound card.
