Hey everyone,
I've built my rig the way i wanted to learn about overclocking, but after all that i've invested I must admit that I dont use my desktop that much anymore now that i'm in school and use my laptop for everything. I've left windows behind in lew of Ubuntu's latest offering and it Linux it seems doesnt like to be overclocked very far. The point is that I feel bad that I have this rig that i've put so much time into and it just sits there, so I've decided that I will use it for my carputer. My original plan was to use my brothers old inspiron 600m for a cpu because it does well with heat, it's a laptop HDD so its built to be jossiled and it already has its own batt supply so I dont have to worry so much about power. But it would be nice to have a dual core with decent RAM to make things a bit quicker in the car, plus and the biggest plus for me actually was being able to use the water cooling system I already have.
Now my question for you all is what components/companies would you recommend? keep in mind that
-It will be subject to bumps and vibrations
the jeep will be taken offroad and in some cases will be jossiled violently.
So the system I have now is the Gigabyte galaxy 2 3D
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835128015
As you can see both the water block and the Res/pump and their barbs are plastic, witch works in the static environment of my computer's case but any bumping around and I can see them easily snapping off. I think the radiator will be alright in the new rig, but if anyone things otherwise please tell me so and why.
Thanks everyone for your input.
