i'll be using a crappy ole 250 watt p\s for awhile, probably crimp my o\c, but i do already have my 8500 retail, burner, and dvd rom... be a decent comp i think:cool:

sounds like it'll serve you well, except the power and ram, im assuming your using SDRAM, since the XP's have 266 FSB then you would be wasting that extra power with SDRAM, DDR however would fully utilize the the newer speed FSB. You probably shouldnt overclock much until you get a new power supply becuz the video card and processor and such eat up alot of voltage and you might experience lockups in your games or even on your desktop. I dont know anything about the shuttle boards, I hear thier nice though, but if it supports DDR then that 70-90 Bucks for 256 PC2100 DDR is well worth it. My 2 cents...

the corsair is pc2100 ddr, cas 2, unbuffered....
don't believe the shuttle sports sdram.. too bad i'm only getting 128 for now. i'll get more when i get new p\s and hopefully after the price drops a little:)

*edit* i was gonna go with the cheaper kingmax because i've heard it's about as good but they were also out of stock on that...
