Motherboard: Edit: now Asus P5QL Pro
(Some people are reporting problems with the MSI P43 Neo 3-F.
One is reporting a problem with the MSI P43 Neo 3-F locking on boot in the MSI message board)
Processor: E2180
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) dual channel kit
Video card: eVGA 512-P3-N954-TR GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI-E 2.0 x16
PSU: Not there yet, because connectors unknown.
The current calculation: $245.46
My budget is around $ 360.
I would like to know if that motherboard uses ATX 12V 2.2 or EPS.
Which PSU is recommended?

i think your in the wrong spot but over all for the price its pretty good looking. i am guessing its a budget bulid
videocard is where i would look into something else, if your dead set on the 9500 you might ched out 8500's bvecause they are practicly the same thing also check for one with decent DDR3, they do exist, and some times you can get em with MIR's. i got a 256 meg DDR3 card after MIR for about $30. i figured for the price its not bad. it plays games relativly playable at high settings (COD4, Frontlines)

I know it's a little bit overkill for the specs on your proposed system, but I can't help but recommend the Corsair VX450 psu (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10006428) for $65.99 at ZZF or $59.99 after $15.00 Mail-In Rebate (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003) at Newegg. I have one of those and it will give you extra headroom for future upgrades for you vid card and processor and it has a 5 year warrantee and it has done very well in every review I've read on it too. It's also very quiet. :)

Wouldn't be my first choice. If I may be permitted to do some pimping, some guy I know really well has a Hiper 630W up in the classifieds for the price of the Coolmax :D

Better than the Coolmax, but not as good as the Hiper I mentioned. The Corsair VX550/HX520 would be the real competition there.

That unit is based on the same general platform as the one in post #8. Rebate is nice though ;)

No, the 9500GT is equal to the 8600GT... the 8500GT is gonna get rebadged as the 9400GS or 9400GT or something like that, if it ever comes out. Either way, though, if you're gonna get a 9500GT don't bother with the DDR2 version, get one with DDR3.
Also, 1GB ram? Seriously? You can get a decent 2GB kit for under $35 now, it's not even worth it to go with less.

I'm trying to avoid the failure prone DDR2 chips going out there.
It seems that the higher rated ones are more likely to require a RMA!
Also, I still have socket A and socket 478! I just need an upgrade to move me up to a new platform!
Also the talk about the 9500 GT sounds like they're pulling an ATI! (like the ATI fiasco of 2003) (like ATI in 2003 with Radeon 9000 Pro vs. Radeon 8500)

Where are you getting your information? I've never heard of any widespread problem of that sort, even with all the millions of systems using 2GB ram now. Sure, RAM does go bad sometimes, but the main reason you don't hear much about people's 512MB sticks of DDR2 going bad is because nobody uses 512MB sticks of DDR2 anymore. Fewer people using it equals fewer RMA's. Besides, those 512MB sticks will most likely be using the same chips as the larger modules, just fewer of 'em.
And yeah, the whole video card renaming thing is pretty stupid, but it seems to be the norm now, and has been for a couple years, especially with the low-end cards. At least the 9500GT offers some improvements over the 8600GT as far as power consumption and video decoding and all that, so it's not quite as ridiculous as the 8800GS being directly renamed to the 9600GSO with absolutely no changes in it.

Dude, the Corsair 450 I linked you to will be much more than what you need to power your machine. I have run an overclocked Q6600 and 8800GTS on mine. But do what you want I guess. O_W does know what he is talking about too, seeing that he tortures psu's regularly on the JonnyGuru website. If you want more power than the Corsair I linked, then you really need to look down in the Classies at that Hiper O_W is talking about. If he gives it his seal of approval then it's a keeper man.

Looks like the motherboard's gonna be the Asus P5QL Pro.
That one seems to have the best record in reviews.
Also, Asus seems to be good with OC options while not being real cluttered.

I guarantee you that Coolmax is an overrated 350W. No PFC either. You'd be better off with FSP at that price level.
