View Full Version : Got my DANNER PUMP today!
Now that I have it in my hot little hands, I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach my 1/2" hose to it.
If you have experience with this pump could you let me know how you went about doing that?
ps
If you got adaptors, could you let me know where from.
thanks
Alot of the guys have Danners so you should get a few responses. I got mine for both the 250 and 500 from Home Depot and Lowes. Took the pump to the store and mated all up.
My Danner uses the fittings in the picture. The threaded ends are 1/2 inch NPT (national pipe thread) and the other ends are both 3/8 hose barbs. I'd suggest using 1/2 inch hose barbs as long as the rest of the system will...waterblock, radiator..etc.
Make sure to get 1 female npt and 1 male npt. Your pump should be the same..double check to make sure.
I got mine from Ace hardware, but you can find them at the local harware stores usually and also the ever reliable Home Depot.
(your signature doesn't say where you are)
You can take your pump into the Hardware store to make sure you get the ones that fit. Just have a clerk initial the box on the way in the door, but they shouldn't hassle you at all.
Be sure to seal the impeller chamber with silcone and put a hose clamp around the inlet to avoid cracking.
