Hi,
if u use phase change on a geforce 280 gtx. do u have to increase the voltage as well to achieve a better overclock? if so how is this done? has anyone ever tried this out? at what point do you have to increase voltage?

No, Just taking the gpu sub zero will help how far it will overclock.

Though, adding a 100 OHM VR http://sg.vr-zone.com/articles/NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_280_VGPU_Modifications/5880.html will help.

Volt modding is not for everyone, and all most everyone I know that does it has killed something at some point.
But as a rule, added volts and sub zero cooling can really make a card fly.
