im trying to figure out this issue im having with my crossfirex setup
i have 2 x 4850's in crossfirex mode
how many people out there use vertical refresh sync in your games?
im having a problem when i disable vsync. my screen sorta lightly flutters. i actually didnt notice it was doing it until i came across a dark colored object in my game ( cod4 and it also does it in my other game dark age camelot) only then could i tell that its sorta fluttering ( hard to explain lol )
when i enable vsync it is fine in both games. i think it seems to run just fine with vsync on still , but it sorta bothers me that i cant turn vsync off without that problem
maybe i shouldnt worry about it because it still appears to run great even with vsync on? does anyone see any problems with my montior? i can only set my monitor resolution as high as 1280x1024 ( i am looking at getting a much better monitor soon )
i am using 8.6 cat drivers .. i tried installing 8.7 cat drivers many diff times many diff ways and had big isuues with them everytime so updating to them isnt an option lol the 8.6 seem fine
id liek to add that the problem i have with the 8.7 drivers is sorta similar to the vsync problem i have although it is much much worse with flickering and stuff
