the ram i hear has alot of problems when people try to put it in a mobo that requires the ram to be right next to each other for dual channel.

I see that the memory slots in the P5Q Pro are colored alternatively, indicating that you must put both sticks in matching colors.

That's why they will fit, they don't have to be right next to each other in that series of motherboards So even if they would have problems in slots right next to each other, that problem wouldn't be the case in that motherboard.
