I have a 250W cheapo PSU on my AMD K6-2. I have one HD attached to it, a 52X CD-ROM, a Sony 8X CD-RW, a floppy, and a 500Mhz K6 @ 550. I tried to OC it to 600 (100 x 6), it would post but would get an error. I have the voltage set to 2.9V. The temps at this voltage is about 50C. I thought that the PSU would be the problem, or is it the temp?

I have run an athlon 900 o/c to 1000 mhz with a 250 watt cheapy
psu in my rig at work for about 8 months now without a glitch. I'd be more inclined to look at lowering the CPU temp and see if that helps any. If you suspect the PSU check the voltages with a multi meter then you will know for sure . Good luck.
