All he needs to do now is PXE boot these machines. Ditch all the extra hardware, and slim down. Might even be able to share large PSUs between multiple machines.

That's Nitteo's farm (http://www.overclock.net/overclock-net-folding-home-team/370859-nitteo-s-f-h-gpu2-farm.html) :santa:
And a thread is already here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=573927)

He's not folding for Team 32 anymore?
EDIT: nevermind, I've now seen his goodbye thread in the folding section. Nice farm nitteo, fold on!

If he hadn't moved back to his original team, ChasR would have had to spend some serious bux to keep up.
It'll be interested in seeing how ChasR does in his world standings if nitteo sustains that kind of ppd.

Oops! News to me.
I won't be in any hurry to match that. Slowly but surely I will keep adding GPUs. What happens if ATi figures out how to optimize the client to use all their shaders? A farm like that could become obsolete overnight. It'll be racking up the points in the meantime though. I'm not going to get caught out like I did on QMDs.

To quote a movie: "Only god should have this power"
Wow, just wow. There is nothing else to say really.

I thought it was the CUDA API?

The GPU2 client is too new and although this is a very commendable and awe-inspiring endeavor, it's a little too soon IMO. I'm reading rumors of a significant reevaluation of the GPU2 point scheme in the near future and possibly with other clients as well.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see where this goes. The top folder of OCAU, ASSMAN (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=230204), has apparently directly challenged nitteo to a showdown. Their burgeoning competition will likely boost both of their team's total production. I don't think any client in F@H history has created as much enthusiasm as the nVidia client.

I'm not going to get caught out like I did on QMDs.I thought it was the CUDA API?QMDs were WUs released by Stanford for a short period that highly favored Intel processors over AMD. AMD processors could not utilize their SSE2 instruction set on these units. This caused a big raucous and Stanford removed them. I was in hiatus at the time and only know scarce details from others about it.

I touched the top 20 (if only for one update) folding those bad boys
ATi runs CAL. The 4870 is reputed to use a only fraction of its shaders with the current FAH cores. If ATi develops a core that more fully utilizes the resources of the top cards, and they're working hard on that, their ppd output could make the nVidia cards look as bad as nVidia currently makes ATi look. It would be pretty disappointing to spend the money to buy 50 cards and find someone pwned you with 25.
Anyway nitteo is going to have a good run at #1 producer in the world, for a while. ;)

Well with my hardware budget and electricity bills, I wont go past two or three 9800GTX+ cards and even that's stretching it.
So if we have a sudden change of fortune in GPU2 folding, I won't be out a lot of bux.
