i have an asus p5b-deluxe with AMI V.1216 BIOS.
when i overclock my cpu frequency,
the ram speed goes up automatically.
i know i'm supposed to unlink the rams, but i can't find the option
that lets me unlink them.
do i just set the ram speed that goes up automatically on "auto"
then go to DRAM config and set the ram timings manually? would that work?
i overclocked my cpu to [320] but the ram speed goes up, showed options
like [800mhz], [9...mhz], [100...mhz]... i chose 800mhz.
when i set cpu tp [343], i have same options, but when i boot up, it would show PC5300 instead of PC6400. my rams are corsair DDR2 800.

On intel based chipest you can not unlink memory. When you increase fsb, memory speed increases too. Try settting memory with lowest memory multiplier/speed then overclock.

You probably have memory speed and voltage in auto that's it changes by itself.

i'm trying to get me cpu to 2.4GHz which is [343]x7.
i have an intel e6300.
i have corsair DDR2 800. is it okay to have a lil higher than 800 like [858MHz]??
but then what voltage do i put my rams at?
my rams timings right now are at 5-5-5-12.
right now i have them at [800MHz] with 1.8v.
