I just built a new computer last night with a EVGA 780i FTW board. I am having problems with the motherboard detecting my ram.
I have OCZ 2gb SLI 1066 XTC Ram PC-8500 and when I check the bios It says its only running at 666 not 1066. (That's with the ram being on default or Auto mode) I also checked cpuz and it shows the ram at 333 (666) and it shows bandwitch as Pc2-5300??? weird.

Is that normal? do I just manual change the ram to manufactures spec 1066 2.1v??? This board is specially made to handle 1066. Why is it showing 666? sombody please help.

You have to set memory speed and voltage manually. Memory has some profiles, since your board default voltage is 1.8v it runs at lowest speed to keep it stable.
